The differences that actually matter

1. What it costs you if it doesn’t fit

This is the real risk in buying any stroller accessory online, because no hammock seat fits every stroller. We give US customers 30 days and a prepaid return label, so trying it costs you nothing but the time to box it back up.

Hoppie gives you 14 days from delivery, requires the original packaging, and states plainly that you choose and pay for the return carrier. If the fit is wrong, you are out the return postage and working against a two-week clock.

2. How fast it actually arrives

We ship free from the US in 2–3 business days, and we’ll do overnight if you email us before a trip.

Hoppie’s timing depends which of their pages you read. The homepage badge says “4-6 Days.” The FAQ says delivery in “4 to 6 business days.” The shipping page says orders are “shipped within 5 to 6 business days.” Their binding Terms of Sales say they dispatch “within a standard timeframe of 6 to 7 business days, worldwide” — that is before the parcel starts moving, and transit time is never stated. Their Terms also say Hoppie “can not be held responsible for a delay in delivery.” If you have a trip coming up, that gap between the badge and the contract is worth knowing about.

3. Whether your toddler actually stays sitting up

A flat hammock lets a tired toddler slide backward. We build a tailored bucket-style seat with a 15mm memory-foam head pillow so the seat holds its shape and your child stays supported through a long day out. Hoppie’s own published customer reviews include the note that the seat “can tilt backward slightly.”

4. Whether anyone will show you the safety paperwork

Both products say they’ve been independently tested. Only one of us will send you the certificate.

Hoppie’s product page states it is “independently tested to meet international safety standards.” It does not name the standard, the testing body, or publish a certificate anywhere on the site, and their FAQ doesn’t mention certification at all. For a product that carries a toddler, we think you’re entitled to see the paperwork before you buy, not after.

5. Setting it up with one arm already full

Both products use a four-point attachment. Hoppie ships four carabiner hooks to do it. We ship six.

The two spares are the point. Add them at the bottom and the Sling clips on one-handed — which matters, because the moment you're setting this up is almost always the moment you're holding a toddler. If your stroller frame is easier to reach from above, move them up top instead. And you always have two spares, so a lost clip isn't a dead product.

Ours also lock. Each carabiner has an optional twist-lock, so it doesn't rely on tension alone to stay closed and curious hands can't flip it open. Hoppie ships “4 × secure adjustable attachment straps (Velcro + carabiner hooks)” and makes no one-handed or locking claim anywhere.

6. The strap you’re not using right now

Both products include an optional safety strap. The difference is where it goes when your child doesn't need it.

Ours secures flat against the seat with velcro, held out of the way. Hoppie describes theirs as an “integrated toddler belt… when needed” but publishes no stow-away mechanism, so an unused strap has nowhere to go but loose — near the wheels.

7. Living with it after the first week

Kids spill. Ours is spot-cleanable and the pillow insert comes out for a gentle machine wash. Hoppie specifies hand-washing with mild soap and air drying only, and their warranty terms state that water damage is not covered.

Ours also rolls into itself with a built-in pocket, so it lives in your stroller basket instead of relying on a separate pouch you have to keep track of.

Which one holds more weight?
The Stroller Sling holds up to 45 lbs. Hoppie lists 20 kg / 44 lbs.

Can I return it if it doesn’t fit my stroller?
Within the US, yes — 30 days, free, prepaid label, full refund. Outside the US, email us and we’ll work it out with you. Hoppie allows 14 days and you pay the return shipping.

Are either of these approved by stroller brands?
No. Both are aftermarket accessories and neither is endorsed by any stroller manufacturer. Always follow your stroller’s published weight limits and keep the frontmost child harnessed.

Can I use it at Disney?
The Stroller Sling meets Disney’s stroller policy and attaches within your stroller’s frame with no rear overhang. Hoppie does not address Disney on their site.

Is a safety strap included?
Both products include an optional strap. Ours secures flat with velcro when it isn’t in use, so it stays out of the way rather than hanging loose. Active adult supervision is required with either product, at all times.

Why does the number of carabiners matter?
Both products attach at four points. We include six lockable carabiners; Hoppie includes four. The two spares let you clip the Sling on one-handed from the bottom, move them up top if that suits your stroller better, and keep a spare pair on hand either way.

What’s the difference between Classic and All-Weather?
Classic is soft velveteen. All-Weather has a breathable sandwich-mesh inner and a water-resistant, quick-dry nylon outer, and it’s machine washable — built for hot days, splash pads and unpredictable weather. Seat shape, memory foam pillow, six clips and 45 lb capacity are identical on both.

Safe and sensible use, whichever you choose

• Keep active adult supervision at all times
• Follow your stroller manufacturer’s published weight limits
• Keep a hand on the handlebar while the seat is in use
• Keep the frontmost child secured in the stroller seat
