I was determined to find the BEST lightweight double stroller! 

And after a lot of trial and error - I found THE perfect (albeit, unconventional) solution! 

When I was pregnant with my second baby, I searched endlessly to find a lightweight convertible stroller that could function as a single or a double.

I was thorough - think, spreadsheet thorough - I looked into everything from the Uppababy Vista and Mockingbird double, to Bugaboo Donkey and Cybex Gazelle! 

Yes they were beautiful - but lightweight? Not so much. And they are BULKY. There was no way they could fit in my car without the third row down. And that was a problem considering I planned to continue to grow my family. 

I ended up investing in the Cybex Gazelle - which is a masterpiece of a stroller. But it's neither lightweight or compact - and I found myself avoiding it for all of my smaller day-to-day outings.

And that's when I started searching for something like The Stroller Sling. I imagined a hammock style seat that could add a little resting spot for my toddler and clip onto the back of my lightweight single stroller. (Which in my case, was the Cybex Mios.)

At that point, nothing existed - but I hacked together a variation of the Stroller Sling by buying a bunch of different products and repurposing them to meet my needs - and Voila - that was the first iteration of The Stroller Sling - the innovative stroller hammock that we know and love today!

I used this product for over a year before even considering manufacturing it. Even though people would always stop me and ask me about it - it wasn't until I shared my hack on social media and seeing a frenzy of people asking "OMG where can I get this!?" That it occurred to me that other people were as desperate for this stroller hammock solution as I was. 

The Stroller Sling has saved me in a variety of circumstances - I've brought it to formal events like weddings where I needed to keep both of my kids contained for long periods of time...as well as to theme parks where my older toddler could not manage the long walk from the parking lot. SO many parents have reached out to buy the Stroller Sling for specific trips and upcoming travels such as trips to Disney! 

Weighing less than a pound, and folding up to the size of a sweater in seconds, there really is no more convenient solution for converting your single stroller to a double OR double stroller to a triple stroller! Yes- you heard that right! I've added it to my Cybex Gazelle to turn it into a triple stroller and it works like a DREAM! 

We've been improving the design of The Stroller Sling carefully, improving the strength of the hardware and fabric so that it can accommodate kids up to 45lbs. The Stroller Sling hammock works with most in-line strollers. If the anatomy of your stroller is similar to the ones shown below, it be compatible! If not, we accept returns within 30 days. 

As with any child-carrying device - exercise caution and good judgement! I always load my smaller child in the front seat first to balance the center of gravity, and I always try to keep my hands on the handlebar when both my kids are riding together.
